Every year World Liver Day is commemorated on 19th April, a vital occasion aimed at raising awareness about liver health and the prevalence of liver diseases worldwide. This year's World Liver Day theme, "Keep your liver healthy and disease-free," underscores the importance of regular health check-ups as a preventive measure against liver-related disorders.
Since its formal introduction by the World Health Organization (WHO) on April 19, 2012, World Liver Day has gained significant momentum as a platform for raising awareness about liver disease and advocating for increased investment in liver disease research. Each year, numerous health organizations, hospitals, and liver treatment institutes worldwide organize diverse programs and activities to commemorate this day and promote liver health awareness.
